created this easy to make blanket pattern for you to
knit. The pattern isn't free! You must donate 1
blanket to your local Project Linus Chapter.

The blanket is made in 3 panels. The 2
outside panels are latched together with the middle
panel. The fringe trim was knitted to the blanket last.
Left End Panel
E wrap CO nd #52, #50 -0- #50 in white. Skip nd
#51. Nd #52 will be the latch st.
RC000. K 1 R. Program birds eye
design for nd 48 - 48 (punch card machines may not be able to
do this). Set machine so that it DOES NOT select the end
nd (KCII). K 1 R.
Use red for CC. K to RC028.
Use yellow for CC. K to RC054.
Use green for CC. K to RC080.
Use yellow for CC. K to RC106.
Use red for CC. K to RC132.
Program for plain knitting. K 3 R.
Program birds eye design for nd 48 - 48. K 1 R.
Use blue for CC. K to RC266.
Program for plain knitting. K 3 R.

Latching
Latch both end panels to the middle panel.
Fringe Trim
The fringe trim is made like the curls for doll
hair. You will hang the edge of the blanket 3 sts at a
time as you knit the fringe trim.
E wrap CO nd #5, #1 -0- 2, #6 in blue.
Skip nd #4, 3, 2 on the Left & #3, 4, 5 on the Right.
Hold the blanket with the wrong side facing
you. On the CO edge, hang 3 st on the right
corner. K 6 R. * Hang the next 3 st to the
left. K 6 R. Skip 1 st, hang the next 3 st to the
left. K 6 R.* Repeat from * to * until the end of the CO
side of the blanket.
Hang the 3 st that you previously hung on the
CO side (this will help to turn the corner). K 6 R.
Change to green. Hang the 1st 3 bars on
the side of the blanket. K 6 R. Hang the same 3
bars. K 6 R. ** Hang the next 3 bars to the
left. K 6 R. ** Repeat from ** to ** until the end
of the side of the blanket.
Hang the 3 bars that you previously
hung. K 6 R.
Change to yellow. Hang the 1st 3 st on
the BO side of the blanket. K 6 R. Hang the same 3
st. K 6 R. *** Hang the next 3 st to the
left. K 6 R. Skip 1 st, hang the next 3 st to the
left. K 6 R. *** Repeat from *** to *** until the
end of the BO side of the blanket.
Hang the 3 st that you previously hung on the
BO side. K 6 R.
Change to red. Hang the 1st 3 bars on
the side of the blanket. K 6 R. Hang the same 3
bars. K 6 R. **** Hang the next 3 bars to the
left. K 6 R. **** Repeat from **** to **** until
the end of the side of the blanket.
Hang the 3 bars that you previously
hung. K 6 R. Latch tool BO 3 center st only.
The 2 end st will be unraveled to make the fringe.
Finishing
Hide all yarn ends. Unravel end st on fringe
trim. Steam.
